The 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office stated Friday that a 39-year-old fugitive from Georgia has been sentenced to years in jail for trafficking fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine.

Vander Antonio Mingledolph of Georgia was found guilty by a Lexington County jury on October 29. The conviction resulted from an investigation conducted by the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team, with help from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

According to officials, Mingledolph was detained on April 26, 2024, by law enforcement agents from Lexington and Richland counties at the Rodeway Inn on Piney Grove Road. Authorities stated he was caught with over 100 grams of methamphetamine, 100 grams of cocaine, and more than 200 grams of fentanyl and fentanyl combinations.

Mingledolph admitted to holding the medications, which included fentanyl laced with xylazine, also known as “Tranq,” a potent tranquilizer that is not permitted for human use. This combination poses severe dangers because Narcan cannot reverse it.

Mingledolph’s sentence includes 25 years for each trafficking offense, with all three being served concurrently.

Officials claimed he has a history of drug offenses and is currently awaiting trial in Georgia and Alabama on identical accusations.

He’s been transferred to the South Carolina Department of Corrections to begin completing his prison sentence.
