Four people were detained and charged after a shooting in Girard

Four people have been arrested following a shooting in Girard, Georgia, on Sunday, May 17.

Incident Details

Burke County deputies responded to the 100 block of Corn Road at 12:53 a.m. after reports of shots fired. Investigators found approximately 22 spent cartridge casings and collected statements from witnesses.

Investigation and Arrests

Warrants were issued for Travion Clark, who was arrested the following day. Further investigation included video analysis, additional interviews, and surveillance.

Charges

The following individuals have been charged:

  • Travion Clark, 21, of Sylvania, GA: Aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, reckless conduct, safekeeping for DCS probation, safekeeping for Screven County.
  • Dylan Nix, 21, of Sylvania, GA: Two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
  • Tre’ Tesha Clark, 22, of Sylvania, GA: False statements.
  • Peggy Roberson, 31, of Sylvania, GA: Tampering with evidence.

Firearms Recovered

Authorities recovered the firearm(s) believed to have been used in the shooting, noting that one weapon had been modified. Officials said additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
