Fairfax, South Carolina — The Town of Fairfax will take a public stand against gun violence.
A Stop Gun Violence event is scheduled for Saturday, November 8, at the Fairfax Gazebo on Sumter Avenue. The event runs from 9 a.m. to noon, and organizers want attendees to wear orange, the national color for gun violence awareness.
The purpose, according to town organizers, is to bring the community together to honor the lives lost while also promoting peace, unity, and safety in Fairfax and beyond.
The event will feature speakers, community organizations, and times of reflection, all aimed at breaking the cycle of violence.
