A tragic road accident in Belton has claimed the life of a young woman, according to officials.

Details of the Incident

The Anderson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 21-year-old Neveah Camden Bigby from Williamston. The accident happened on Friday evening around 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of Midway Road and Stringer Road.

What Happened

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Bigby was driving a 2019 Toyota Camry eastbound on Midway Road when she lost control of the vehicle. Officials say she overcorrected, causing the car to leave the roadway and crash into a tree.

She was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Cause of Death

Authorities confirmed that Bigby died at the scene. The coroner ruled her death as accidental, with the cause identified as multiple traumatic injuries resulting from the crash.
