Berkeley County, S.C. — Berkeley County is inviting residents and businesses to participate in the development of its All-Hazard Mitigation Plan, aimed at identifying potential hazards, assessing vulnerabilities, and creating strategies to ensure the county is prepared to handle disasters effectively when they arise.
Public Meeting and Participation
The county will host a public meeting on Tuesday night at the Berkeley County Administration Building. The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., and residents are encouraged to attend and provide input on the plan.
If you are unable to attend in person, the meeting will be streamed live on the county’s YouTube channel for easy access.
Community Input and Survey
In addition to attending the meeting, Berkeley County is inviting residents to complete a survey about their personal experiences with hazards in the area. The survey will be open through October 1st and offers an opportunity for residents to share their insights and help shape the county’s disaster preparedness strategy.
