American Airlines launches a route from Charlotte to a coastal resort.

American Airlines just kicked off daily nonstop flights from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) to Vero Beach Regional Airport (VRB) in Florida’s Treasure Coast—its first-ever service to this coastal gem. Using CRJ-900 jets, the route runs year-round, making CLT the only AA hub with direct access. It’s a smart addition to AA’s 90+ daily Florida flights from Charlotte.

Why Vero Beach?

This underrated spot boasts 30 miles of Atlantic coastline, resorts, wildlife, and a walkable downtown packed with shops, galleries, and eateries. Dive into history at the McLarty Treasure Museum, which spotlights the area’s 1715 shipwreck treasures. Outdoorsy types love paddleboarding, kayaking, surfing, and guided sea turtle nesting tours at night.

Perfect for a quick beach escape from Charlotte—about 1.5 hours in the air. Flights are bookable now on aa.com. Have you flown this route or planning a Treasure Coast trip?
