Dorchester County, S.C. – A 19-year-old Summerville man, Ayden Smith, has turned himself in to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office in connection with a burglary at a Dollar General store in the Jedburg area.
Details of the Incident
On Wednesday, June 4, deputies responded to a reported burglary at the Dollar General store, where alcohol and tobacco products were confirmed to have been stolen.
Investigators soon received a tip from a citizen, which helped them identify Ayden Smith as the suspect. Following this, warrants were issued for his arrest on charges of burglary second degree violent and possession of burglary tools.
Suspect Surrenders
Smith voluntarily turned himself in to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday, and he is currently being held at the L.C. Knight Detention Center.
