A man released from a North Carolina jail was wanted for murder the next day

Charlotte, North Carolina. — A man who was released from Mecklenburg County Jail on Wednesday is now wanted by authorities in another state.

The Baltimore Police Department stated Thursday that officers are looking for Charles Boatwright, who is wanted in connection with the murder of a man on July 13.

Boatwright, 55, was released from the county prison at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday after being held as a fugitive from another state since July 16. He was detained on a $7.5 million bond.

The Baltimore Police Department requests that anybody with information on Boatwright’s whereabouts contact their investigators at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
