A man named Tru Jamal Lee was extradited back to Horry County to face charges in connection with an August 2022 shooting outside the former Player 1 Up bar in Murrells Inlet.​

Incident and charges

  • The shooting happened on August 13, 2022, in the parking lot of Player 1 Up on Highway 17 Business near Inlet Square Drive in Murrells Inlet.​
  • Arrest warrants state that Lee fired multiple shots with a handgun in the parking lot, hitting a victim once in the right knee and causing a graze wound to the back of the left knee.​
  • Lee is charged with attempted murder, possession of firearms and ammunition, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in Horry County.​
