A tragic single-vehicle crash in Boiling Springs, Cleveland County, claimed the life of a 16-year-old Crest High School student on February 12, 2026.
Crash Details
The incident occurred just after 7 p.m. on College Avenue near Vick Wilson Road. A Ford Ranger pickup truck veered off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, flipped, and hit a tree. The teen driver, who wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. No other vehicles were involved, and no additional injuries occurred.
School and Community Response
Crest High School expressed profound grief on Facebook, offering sympathies to the family, friends, and classmates. Counselors and support staff were available Friday in the auditorium to help students process the loss.
