A motorcyclist was killed in a crash earlier this week in Stallings, according to police.
Crash at Busy Intersection
The Stallings Police Department says the collision happened around 6:30 p.m. on April 8 at the intersection of Stallings Road and Guion Lane.
Officers responded to the scene and found the motorcyclist, identified as Nelson Lee Graves, suffering from serious injuries.
Life-Saving Efforts Unsuccessful
Bystanders began providing life-saving aid before Union County EMS arrived and took over treatment. Despite those efforts, Graves was later pronounced dead.
Investigation Into Cause
Police say the crash involved a Toyota Tacoma and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Preliminary findings indicate the driver of the Tacoma entered the intersection against a red light. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Authorities say impairment is not suspected at this time, and no charges have been filed.
Ongoing Investigation
The investigation remains active as officials continue to review the circumstances surrounding the crash.
