Charleston, South Carolina – Today, 120 refurbished laptops were delivered to Charleston’s youngsters and families.
AT&T and Human I-T donated the computers to Palmetto Goodwill. This donation helps Palmetto Goodwill achieve its purpose of providing access to training, education, and employment.
Palmetto Goodwill thinks that in today’s digital environment, future generations must have access to technology in order to prosper.
Palmetto Goodwill’s president and CEO, Brian Itzkowitz, emphasized the importance of technology in enabling fair access to training, education, and employment for all members of the community.
This program is part of AT&T’s efforts to bridge the digital divide by improving internet accessibility and affordability.
AT&T says their objective is to help 25 million individuals obtain and stay connected to high-speed internet by 2030.
AT&T South Carolina Regional Director of External Affairs, Jay Byrd, emphasized the company’s commitment to bridging the digital gap by donating computers to Palmetto Goodwill for Charleston youngsters and families. “Together, we are creating pathways to success and connecting more South Carolinians to greater possibility.”
