Completion of Buck Island Simmons sanitary sewer extension (Phase Five) and new watershed restoration projects around May River Road, including impervious surface restoration at local schools.
Construction and expansion of new trails and recreational amenities at New Riverside Barn Park, a $15 million development emphasizing added parks and event venues for residents in Bluffton’s growing Westside.
Ongoing upgrades to sewer infrastructure, including replacement of septic tanks with new sewer connections that will protect local waterways.
A major focus on land preservation through purchase of development rights to control residential growth amid Bluffton’s rapid expansion, along with investments in parks and green space to enhance community livability.
Affordable housing progress highlighted by the LiveWell Terrace project, supported by the town and county, to provide workforce housing for essential employees like teachers and nurses.
Transportation and roadway improvements will continue despite setbacks to funding referendums, with efforts to maintain and expand access in growing neighborhoods.
