Carlton Wallace Dixon, suspected in the fatal shooting of a 29-year-old man at Ramsey Grove Apartments in Chester, South Carolina, in June 2024, was taken into custody on January 17, 2026, in Mooresville, North Carolina.​
Incident Details
The victim, identified as Elijahwan Boulware, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at a nearby medical center. Authorities had described Dixon, aged 45, as armed and dangerous during the manhunt.​​
Arrest and Charges
Mooresville Police assisted the Chester County Sheriff’s Office in apprehending Dixon after a nationwide search. He faces charges of murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain crimes.​
Next Steps
The Chester County Sheriff’s Office is handling extradition from North Carolina to bring Dixon back for trial. A $15,000 reward had previously been offered for information leading to his arrest.
