Carlton Wallace Dixon, suspected in the fatal shooting of a 29-year-old man at Ramsey Grove Apartments in Chester, South Carolina, in June 2024, was taken into custody on January 17, 2026, in Mooresville, North Carolina.
Incident Details
The victim, identified as Elijahwan Boulware, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at a nearby medical center. Authorities had described Dixon, aged 45, as armed and dangerous during the manhunt.
Arrest and Charges
Mooresville Police assisted the Chester County Sheriff’s Office in apprehending Dixon after a nationwide search. He faces charges of murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain crimes.
Next Steps
The Chester County Sheriff’s Office is handling extradition from North Carolina to bring Dixon back for trial. A $15,000 reward had previously been offered for information leading to his arrest.
