A section of Garners Ferry Road in Richland County, South Carolina, will have the eastbound lane closed near Blue Johnson Road from Monday, April 6, at 8 a.m., until Friday, April 10, at 5 p.m., as state crews make repairs.
What to expect
The left eastbound lane will stay open during the work, so there is no official detour, but traffic will be reduced to one lane through the repair zone. Weather could change the schedule, so drivers should be prepared for possible delays.
How to drive safely
SCDOT is urging motorists to slow down, watch for warning signs, and be alert for work crews and equipment in the area. Because Garners Ferry Road is a busy corridor, leaving a few extra minutes when traveling eastbound through this stretch is a good idea.
