North Charleston, South Carolina – The North Charleston Police Department has arrested an out-of-state man accused of committing two business burglaries last week.
Lonnie Hargrove, 42, of Georgia, faces two counts of second-degree burglary, according to jail records.
Officers went to the first incident at Crush LLC on October 2, when an employee noticed damaged glass in the front and rear doors. Police reported that many drawers and cabinets had been searched inside, but nothing appeared to be taken.
However, surveillance footage showed Hargrove approaching the office building and breaking a glass with a rock to gain entry.
Officers responded to a burglar alarm at Frank Lee Contractors on Three Lakes Road shortly after, little before 2 a.m. on October 3. Upon arrival, officers discovered two shattered windows and an open side door.
A K9 unit was sent in to clear the structure, and after the second sweep, the K9 discovered Hargrove sleeping behind a stack of ladders. Police apprehended him after positively matching security footage from the previous Crush LLC burglary.
He was lodged into Al Cannon Detention Center.
