We do need some good rain, as several portions of the region are currently experiencing moderate drought. Our area’s fall season, which begins on September 1, is approximately 5 inches below typical.
The next possibility for rain is late Sunday into Monday. We are increasingly confident that we will receive at least one inch of rainfall. The rain will hold off during the day Sunday.

This could be the best rain we’ve had in weeks! We predict one inch of rain across much of the area, with higher amounts locally.
Looking far ahead, a system will arrive by Halloween. The data suggests that rain will fall late Wednesday into Thursday, followed by a drier Halloween Friday.
Cooler temperatures will arrive next week, with highs in the 60s.
