North Charleston, South Carolina – Hospitals that have long served our communities are now part of one system, according to officials. HCA Healthcare’s South Atlantic Division is rebranding its locations.
The announcement ushered in a new era of healthcare in the Lowcountry.
Health executives and professionals came to commemorate HCA Healthcare’s formal rebranding of 35+ locations in the Charleston area, as well as the consolidation of its four primary medical centers.
Ashley Powell, Deputy County Supervisor for Berkeley County Government and Trident Health Board Member, stated that this is an exciting time.
“Being a part of an expansive network of over 186 hospitals across 20 states just gives you better access to resources” .
With a new name and a new chapter, we can celebrate exceptional healthcare. Jeff Wilson, President of Trident Health and CEO of HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital, emphasized that the event is a celebration of health executives’ devotion.
“The workers behind me are honoring their daily efforts to provide great care to patients. It’s their commitment to truly be there and stand in the gap for people, regardless of their healthcare needs,” Wilson explained.
On Tuesday, HCA Healthcare celebrated the official rebranding and consolidation of its primary medical centers. Trident, Summerville, and Colleton medical centers are all included. In addition to HCA Healthcare’s Live Oak Mental Health and Wellness. All of its sites’ names will now feature HCA Healthcare.
“We’ve always been part of the HCA Healthcare network, but this is the first time we’re using the signs. “It really shows our community how we’re connected to a larger network, not only in the area, but across the country,” Wilson said.
HCA Healthcare Colleton Medical Center celebrated on Tuesday morning with a prayer, surprise speakers, and the unveiling of its logo. Food, music, marching bands, and logo unveilings were among the festivities held Tuesday afternoon at HCA Healthcare Trident Medical Center.
HCA Healthcare Summerville Medical Center will celebrate with a drone light show and the introduction of new signage on Tuesday at 6:45 p.m.
HCA Healthcare’s South Atlantic Division is rebranding over 35 locations in the Charleston area. This program comes as HCA Healthcare strengthens its overall commitment to the communities it serves.
While these hospitals have been part of the HCA Healthcare family for decades, administrators say the new titles will help patients identify their affiliation.
“Bringing notoriety to the fact that HCA is the brand that backs Trident, Sumerville, and Colleton, this is a part of a large system with many things to offer the residents; it’s something that we’re really excited about,” laughed Powell.
Officials stated that this is a big step in investing in quality care for all Lowcountry residents.
