The Hibben Warming Shelter at 690 Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant will be open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Feb. 23. Guests will receive a warm place to sleep, an evening meal, breakfast and a bagged lunch. Showers with towels, soap and shampoo will be available, and clothing may be offered depending on availability. Transportation pickup is at 6:45 p.m. at Mary Conway Park at America and Columbus Streets, with CARTA providing return transportation downtown the next morning.
Seacoast Church Warming Center – Summerville
The Seacoast Church warming center in Summerville will operate from 8:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Feb. 23, with the entrance located at the rear of the building facing Gum Street. Guests will be provided a cot with linens and pillow, a warm dinner, hot shower if needed, access to a clothing closet and a takeaway breakfast. Pets are not allowed due to the Sheltered Paws trailer being unavailable.
Holy City Missions Winter Warming Shelter
The Holy City Missions Winter Warming Shelter will open the evening of Feb. 23 with registration from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will close at 7 a.m. the following morning. The shelter has a capacity of 65 people and offers a hot dinner, breakfast, grab-and-go lunch bag, hot shower, warm clothing, toiletries, safe overnight lodging and an optional devotion. Guests may take CARTA Bus Route 13 and request the Holy City Winter Warming Shelter at Aldersgate. Pets are not permitted.
