COOKEVILLE, TN – The Cookeville Police Department reported that a guy from Greenville died as a result of a stabbing on October 18.
Around 2:14 a.m., officials arrived to a residence on Miller Avenue and discovered a male with a stab wound. The suspect was detained on the scene.
Shawn Torres, 40, was taken to a hospital in the Nashville region and eventually died, according to police.
Police said the suspect, a 40-year-old woman, was detained and questioned by detectives. There have been no charges filed at this time.
Torres’ relatives informed FOX Carolina that he moved from Greenville to Cookeville in September.
