Folly Beach, S.C. – The Surfrider Foundation Charleston Chapter is inviting locals to join in a post-July 4 beach cleanup on Sunday evening. The community event will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is aimed at helping keep the beaches clean and safe for everyone.

Event Details

Volunteers are asked to meet under the Folly Beach Pier at 6 p.m. for opening activities, including a relaxing yoga session or a fun surf session to kick off the event. The official cleanup will begin at 7 p.m., where teams will fan out across the beach to collect debris and trash left behind after the July 4 festivities.

Call to Action

Organizers encourage everyone to come out and “connect” with fellow community members, while giving back to the beach they all love. It’s a great chance to be part of a local effort to preserve the beauty of Folly Beach and make a positive impact on the environment.
