Pretty Place Chapel in Cleveland, South Carolina has canceled its Easter Sunrise Service for 2026, citing unfavorable weather conditions as the reason.
Why the service was canceled
- Staff explained that the current morning weather (including rain and poor conditions) made it impossible to hold the service in a way that felt true to the experience, either in person or online.
- The chapel’s team emphasized that the sunrise service, especially on Easter, is a unique and meaningful event, but safety and quality of the experience led to the decision to cancel.
Easter hours at Pretty Place
- Even though the sunrise service is canceled, Pretty Place will remain open to the public on Easter from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for visitors who still want to spend time at the chapel or enjoy the space.
If you’re planning to go to the Upstate (Greenville/Spartanburg) area, this is effectively a rain‑shift decision: the sunrise event is called off, but the chapel itself will still be accessible later in the day.
