Low Country, South Carolina — Even while the Cooper River Bridge Run appears to be a long way off, race planning, training, and, most importantly, deals begin today.
Beginning December 1, registration fees for the race will rise from $55 to $60, so those who are still undecided about participating should register as soon as possible.
The Bridge Run, a world-renowned road race located right here in the Lowcountry, is held yearly, with a percentage of the proceeds benefiting local charitable groups.
The Alzheimer’s Association, American Cancer Society, Lowcountry Food Bank, MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, Pet Helpers, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston, Special Olympics South Carolina, MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, Windwood Family Services, Carolina Children’s Charity, Palmetto Military Support Group, Water Mission, Camp Rise Above, and The Green Heart Project will all receive donations.
