Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Westover Division acted on a tip about narcotics at a home in the 2000 block of Piedmont Hills Place in west Charlotte. They executed a search warrant, seizing a large cache of suspected drugs, firearms, ammunition, paraphernalia, and cash, with many narcotics packaged for sale. This operation highlights ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the area.

Items Seized

  • Four firearms (two stolen), 368 rounds of ammo, seven magazines.
  • Drugs: 352.3g Promethazine, 30 Amphetamine pills, 226.7g Fentanyl, 121.4g Heroin, 859.5g Marijuana Oil, 12,780.9g Marijuana Wax, 9,804.5g Marijuana, 136g Marijuana-infused food, 916.7g Psilocybin.
  • Other: Two gas masks, six scales, two grinders, one set of body armor, $1,989 cash.​

Arrest and Charges

Daniel Torres, 25, was arrested and faces multiple felony charges including Trafficking Fentanyl, Trafficking Heroin, Trafficking Marijuana, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, PWISD Schedule I, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and drug paraphernalia offenses. These charges reflect North Carolina’s strict penalties for drug trafficking and related crimes, often carrying mandatory minimum sentences.
