Chief: SC shop owner is behind bars for the fourteenth time after surrendering herself up.

Pamela Brooke Schronce, owner of Thomas & Turner boutique in Pendleton, S.C., was arrested Thursday, March 19, 2026—her 14th time since January—on four counts of obtaining property under false pretenses under $2,000. A customer reported paying for four unfulfilled/delivered orders.

Allegations

Months of complaints claim Schronce took payments for children’s/women’s clothing without delivering items or refunds, scamming 50+ victims of $10,000+ since 2023; dubbed “Boutique Bandit,” she’s faced arrests across Upstate counties like Anderson (54 victims reported).

Interim Police Chief David Poulson said she self-surrendered; the 10th Circuit Solicitor referred her case to SC Attorney General in February for review. Her attorney states she’s eager for court and awaits discovery; prior arrests involved similar false pretense charges.
