Charleston, South Carolina – Residents of Charleston’s eastside suburb will have their water turned off temporarily on Monday.
During the outage, personnel will perform a ‘critical pipe repair,’ as part of the Charleston Housing Authority’s infrastructure rehabilitation initiative.
According to project representatives, the temporary outage will begin at 8 a.m. Monday and will affect residents of Meeting Street Manor and the surrounding area.
Service will be resumed after the repairs are completed.
Officials reported that notices were hand-delivered to impacted homeowners last week. Property management will provide updates and help residents as required.
“We appreciate our residents’ patience while we continue the important work of replacing and upgrading aging infrastructure,” said Vernon Graham, CHA’s public information officer.
Residents with inquiries should call the Eastside Management Office at 843-720-3984.
