Berkeley County, South Carolina — Berkeley County officials will deliver an update on Monday on a massive boat landing project on Lake Moultrie.
The project has been in development for over four years.
The $6.5 million project was approved in July 2021 and was scheduled to take approximately 18 months to complete; however, funding concerns halted work.
Construction on the gigantic boat landing is now ongoing at the former Atkins Boat Landing/Lions Beach site in Moncks Corner. It covers around 14 acres on Lake Moultrie.
A project update is expected at 4 p.m.
