A woman is in police arrest following a gunshot in the parking lot of an Upstate grocery store earlier this week. The Fountain Inn Police Department responded to the Food Lion on North Main Street at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that both the suspect and the victim had fled the scene. They then discovered that a man had been sent to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
The Police Department today reports that 57-year-old Lara Golden Allen has been detained in connection with the incident. She is accused with attempted murder, shooting into a vehicle, and a weapons offense.
Investigators claim the victim was attempting to flee when Allen opened fire on them. They were said to be acquainted. There have been no updates on the victim’s condition.
