A 70-year-old Prosperity, South Carolina resident, Jaroslava Cameron, died in a two-vehicle crash Friday evening in Lexington County’s Batesburg area. She was driving west on North Lee Street in a Chevrolet Trax SUV when it collided with a southbound 2019 Chevrolet Suburban at the Summerland Avenue intersection around 5:25 p.m.; Cameron, who wore a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Suburban’s driver and passenger sustained minor injuries and were hospitalized, with no further updates on their conditions or seatbelt use available. Investigations by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and Lexington County Coroner’s Office are ongoing, with no other injuries reported.
