One person has been arrested following a stabbing early Saturday morning in the Roebuck community, according to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to Dunway Road, where they found two male victims. Authorities said one man suffered lacerations to his hand, while the other sustained lacerations to his back.
Victims Hospitalized, Expected to Recover
Both victims were transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for treatment. Officials said one of the victims is expected to undergo surgery. Both individuals are reportedly expected to make a full recovery.
Suspect Facing Multiple Charges
Investigators said a fight occurred at the scene, during which the suspect allegedly assaulted one of the victims before pulling out a knife. The second victim was injured while attempting to intervene.
Authorities arrested Chrez Angel Resendiz Trejo in connection with the incident. He has been charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault and battery, and two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Resendiz Trejo was transported to the Spartanburg County Detention Center. The investigation remains ongoing.
