North Charleston police arrested 41-year-old Keith Jerome Galloway for a March 2024 kidnapping and assault at a Northside Drive hotel. The victim, who knew him as a friend, was trapped after an argument over a room deposit, suffering repeated beatings.
Incident Details
Responding officers found the room in disarray with the woman visibly injured; she reported Galloway destroying her phone, cutting the room line, and blocking her exit.
Her screams alerted guests, and after he fled, she scrawled “Call 911” with soap on a window for neighbors to spot.

Galloway was located at Berkeley County Jail by NCPD warrants unit and served papers for first-degree assault and battery plus kidnapping.
He was then moved to Al Cannon Detention Center.
