4 Dogs Rescued from Mount Pleasant Townhome Fire, No Injuries Reported

A house fire broke out Wednesday afternoon in the Heritage Village neighborhood of Mount Pleasant, affecting at least two townhouse units. Four dogs were rescued from the blaze, with no injuries reported among humans.

Fire Details

The fire started in the kitchen of one of the townhomes, and firefighters quickly responded to the scene. Three dogs were rescued from one unit, while a fourth dog was saved from a neighboring townhouse.

Firefighters from Mount Pleasant Fire Department (MPFD), along with Charleston Fire, Isle of Palms Fire, Charleston County EMS, and the Mount Pleasant Police Department, all worked together to control the fire and ensure safety.

Dog Care and Aftermath

Several of the dogs were transported to an emergency veterinarian for further care, though no other injuries were reported. Fortunately, the damage was contained to the affected units, and no human casualties occurred.
