NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — As the Lowcountry experiences intense heat, the Community Resource Center in North Charleston will open a cooling center on Monday to offer relief.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the cooling center at 3947 Whipper Barony Lane will be open to anyone seeking a break from the scorching temperatures. The center provides more than just a place to cool off; it also offers essential services, including groceries, hygiene products, clothing, and more.
Additionally, counselors will be available to assist visitors in accessing social services and provide temporary relief from the heat.
