Berkeley County, South Carolina – The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has charged a man with allegedly selling alcohol without a valid license.
Alfonso Darrell Ravenell, 63, of Berkeley County, is charged with unlawful possession of alcoholic beverages in a place of business, a first offense, and failing to obtain a needed beer or wine sales permit.
According to the affidavit, he admitted to selling alcoholic beverages to consumers at the Lake City Event Center on October 4. The facility did not have an alcohol license or permit granted by the South Carolina Department of Revenue, which is required for selling alcohol.
Agents investigated and searched the facility, eventually arresting Ravenell.
He was booked at the Florence County Detention Center.
