What Happened During the Shooting?
The shooting occurred around 9:55 a.m. on Saturday, in the area of Reynolds Avenue and Florida Avenue. Officers responded to a call about a shooting victim and a suspect who was reportedly fleeing the scene.
When the police arrived, they did not find the suspect but discovered the victim in a stairwell, bleeding from gunshot wounds. The victim told the officers that they had been sitting in the driver’s seat of their car when someone fired shots at them through the passenger window.
Evidence Found at the Scene
Officers investigating the scene found three shell casings on the road near the passenger window of the victim’s car, confirming the victim’s account of the shooting. The victim was quickly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, but their current condition is unknown.
