A local nonprofit is stepping up to help families facing food insecurity in the Lowcountry. Park Circle Cares will host a community food distribution event Saturday morning at North Charleston High School.
The event begins at 8:30 a.m., and individuals and families in need are encouraged to bring carts, bags or boxes to carry food items home. Organizers say guests may take as much produce as they need to support themselves and their households.
Meat Available for First 50 Families
In addition to fresh produce, meat will be available for the first 50 families who arrive. The nonprofit serves people of all ages and backgrounds, emphasizing accessibility and dignity.
CEO Orly Janssen said the organization’s mission remains focused on distributing nutritious food while treating every guest with respect.
Event Details and Entry Instructions
Guests planning to attend are asked to enter North Charleston High School through the Hyde Avenue entrance and proceed to the west side of the parking lot for distribution.
Organizers hope the event will provide meaningful support to families across the community who may be experiencing food insecurity.
