An 87-year-old man from Alexis, North Carolina, died in a head-on crash on Interstate 26 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and coroner’s office are investigating the incident near Mile Marker 44.

Crash Details

The collision occurred just before 10 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, involving multiple vehicles including a 2016 Volvo SUV, a 2026 Honda SUV, and a Ford pickup truck driving the wrong way in eastbound lanes. Robert Terry Homesley was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:55 p.m., with a forensic examination scheduled for Saturday morning.
