One individual was arrested after a drug bust at a South Carolina motel.

Calestro Bernard Frazier, a 23-year-old man, was arrested late March 3, 2026, on multiple gun and drug charges during a burglary investigation at the North Charleston Lodge on Ashley Phosphate Road.

Incident Response

North Charleston Police reviewed security footage showing three individuals entering and exiting a room registered to only one guest, prompting officers and hotel management to approach and order occupants out just before midnight.

Arrest and Seizures

As Frazier complied but reached repeatedly toward his pockets and waistband, he allegedly discarded three plastic bags—testing positive for cocaine, fentanyl (trafficking amount: 14g+), and methamphetamine—over a walkway into the pool area. He admitted to a loaded firearm in his waistband, which police recovered.

Charges Faced

Frazier faces possession of a firearm during a violent crime, fentanyl trafficking, methamphetamine distribution, and possession of Schedule I/II narcotics. He was booked into Al Cannon Detention Center; the probe continues.
