A Dorchester County man, Roger Anibal Cardona Lopez, was arrested by North Charleston Police on Thursday morning for allegedly causing a four-vehicle crash while driving under the influence and then fleeing the scene.
Crash Details
The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Patriot Boulevard near Dorchester Road, where three vehicles remained at the scene upon police arrival. Witnesses and Good Samaritans pursued Lopez’s vehicle to Archdale Boulevard, detaining him until an off-duty officer and North Charleston police arrived.
Charges and Custody
Lopez faces charges including driving under the influence (BAC refusal), failure to give information and render aid, and driving without a license (first offense). He was booked into the Dorchester County Detention Center, with the case still under investigation.
