Officials say two people were hurt during an oven explosion at Anderson Church

ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson City firefighters responded to a structural fire at a church on Sunday morning.

Around 10:56 a.m., officials responded to St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church on White Street in Anderson. When they arrived, there were no active fires.

Crews reported a tiny explosion in the kitchen oven. Two people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
