Eric Sebastian Bickley from Moncks Corner, S.C., was convicted by a Berkeley County jury on multiple drug trafficking and weapons charges, receiving a mandatory 25-year prison sentence.
Case Background
The investigation started on April 12, 2023, after a community complaint prompted South Carolina Probation, Parole, and Pardon Services agents to visit his Garfield Street property. While on probation, Bickley was suspected of narcotics sales; agents spotted a motorcycle with a tampered VIN, leading to a search warrant.
Seizures and Charges
In his camper, authorities found a safe with over 120 grams of methamphetamine, 10.65 grams of cocaine, 1.05 grams of fentanyl, 45 grams of marijuana, two handguns, $2,104 cash, and his ID documents. He was convicted of trafficking meth and cocaine, intent to distribute fentanyl and marijuana, and possessing a weapon during a violent crime.
Trial Outcome
After a three-day trial, Judge Jennifer McCoy sentenced him on Wednesday. Assistant Solicitors Benjamin Dennis and Wilton McNeely highlighted Bickley’s priors like drug distribution and assault; Ninth Circuit Solicitor Scarlett A. Wilson praised the collaborative law enforcement effort.
