Charleston, South Carolina – Lowcountry Local First (LLF) organized a neighborhood block party to support local businesses and stimulate economic activity in the area.
Business owners such as Chinenyem Nwadiugwu, who created She Biology, believe the event benefits them in a variety of ways.
“It helps me personally and professionally,” Nwadiugwu explained. “Building my confidence allows me to tell others about skin care products. Professionally, I want to establish a true connection with the community so that they understand what She Biology is.
LLF offers advocacy services, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Whether this is your first rodeo or you’ve been running a local business for a while, the non-profit says they’re here to help in any way they can, which benefits the entire economy.
“We believe that local independent businesses in our community make our community more vibrant, build our economy, give back, and create jobs,” LLF executive director Jacquie Berger said. “When you choose local, you’re doing a lot of good things for your community by keeping your money here and by supporting the dreams of your neighbors.”
