Mount Pleasant, South Carolina – An incident occurred in Mount Pleasant on Thursday night, and local law enforcement reacted.
Around 8:28 p.m., Mount Pleasant Police Department officers responded to a report of a burglary at a home on Enfield Lane near Six Mile Road.
When the officers arrived, they heard shooting from inside the house. Police entered the home and apprehended the complainant before discovering a gun inside.
Law enforcement searched the house and discovered that there were no other people inside and no threats were present.
There were no injuries reported from the incident. A MPPD official stated that there is no danger to the public.
According to a spokeswoman for the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, the Mount Pleasant Police Department received assistance on the scene.
