Greenwood, SC — The Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office reported that two suspects were detained in central Greenwood County after deputies uncovered suspected methamphetamine hidden in a laundry basket during an arrest operation.
On October 26, 2025, deputies from Team 4 responded to a residence to serve an active arrest warrant. After speaking with two people inside, one of whom was recognized as the desired person, a deputy reported noticing suspicious motions as the suspect attempted to hide goods in a laundry basket.
When the man was handcuffed, deputies discovered a transparent baggie containing two smaller bags of a crystal-like substance suspected to be methamphetamines. A search order for the property and a neighboring car yielded the finding of another bag of suspected meth.
According to investigators, the wanted person was charged with trafficking meth (more than 28 grams, third or subsequent offense), while the second person was charged with possessing meth with the intent to distribute.
Both suspects were transported to Greenwood County Detention Center for booking. The sheriff’s office commended deputies for removing “illicit poison” from the community.
