The unnamed driver entered the creek after mistakenly taking a boat ramp for a roadway. At around 9 pm, the car became submerged, with the driver at risk of drowning as the vehicle began to sink.

Swift Action by Good Samaritans

Two men, who were attending a gathering at the Isle of Palms Marina, witnessed the incident and immediately jumped into the creek to assist. They swam out to the sinking car, helping the driver to safety just before the vehicle disappeared beneath the water.
