Charleston County, South Carolina – Charleston County and community partners will deliver a life-saving item and training on Thursday as part of their efforts to combat fatal overdoses.
People can visit a Narcan distribution pop-up at one of six locations across the county to receive free naloxone and training on how to use the medicine, which can quickly reverse an opioid overdose.
Advocates argue that naloxone, like a first-aid kit, should be available to everyone since it has the potential to save lives, and that it should be stored in every home and automobile.
Those interested in acquiring the tool, learning how to use it, and preventing an overdose can visit one of the following locations:
Wake up Carolina, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
217 Lucas Street, Suite G – Mount Pleasant
Charleston Center, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
