Beaufort County first responders collected over 4,000 pounds of non-perishable food through their fourth annual Food Drive, running from November 1 to December 12. On Thursday, they hand-delivered these donations to Bluffton Self Help and Help of Beaufort to support local food pantries heading into the new year.

Drive Details

Collection boxes were placed across the county at first responder locations, with donations increasing each year. This effort helps combat food insecurity for families, building on prior successes to restock pantries amid rising community needs.

Beneficiaries

Bluffton Self Help empowers residents through basic needs and resources, while Help of Beaufort, serving for 50 years, provides food, clothing, and assistance to vulnerable neighbors like seniors and children.

Community Role

Local officials expressed gratitude for the growing support, highlighting how resident contributions ensure no one goes hungry during the holidays. The drive fosters collaboration among agencies to sustain food access year-round.
