FIRST ALERT Wet and windy to conclude the weekend!

Saturday remains a First Alert Weather Day due to the upcoming coastal storm, which will bring more rain, breezy conditions, and coastal flooding.

Wet and windy conditions will peak tonight as a developing storm off our coast makes its closest approach to our area. Tonight’s lows are in the upper 50s and low 60s, with winds gusting up to 25-30 mph inland. The nearby low pressure system will continue to bring cloudy skies, scattered showers, breezy conditions, and cooler temperatures for the rest of weekend.

Sunday is expected to be a slow improvement, with showers and breezy conditions continuing. Winds will blow out of the north at 15 to 25 mph, with gusts approaching 30 mph.

A High Surf Advisory is in effect until 8 a.m. on Sunday, with a High Rip Current Risk through Sunday evening. Tomorrow’s high tide will be at 12:41 PM in Charleston Harbor. Large waves of up to six feet are expected through tomorrow. Remember to avoid traveling on water-covered roads, as closures are still possible.

As we enter the new week, better weather is expected! Rain clears by Monday morning, and clouds gradually give way to sunshine throughout the week. As the sun returns, temperatures will begin to rise again, reaching near 80 degrees by Tuesday.

TONIGHT: Showers and Breezy. Low 60.

SUNDAY: Cloudy with Showers Possible. High 67.

MONDAY: Clouds to Sunshine. High 76.

TUESDAY: Mostly Sunny. High 79.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly Sunny. High 80.
