FIRST ALERT: Showers may intensify with an early-week system!

Charleston, South Carolina – An upper-level low continues to move towards the Southeast, bringing us our next chance of rain over the coming week!

As the aforementioned system travels eastward, expect clouds to gradually build until early Sunday morning. The skies will be largely cloudy by daybreak Sunday (now at 6:39 AM), with temperatures in the high 30s and 40s inland (low to mid 50s around the coast).

Due to the presence of drier air, rain chances should be minimal on Sunday morning and afternoon. As temperatures increase into the 60s, only a few pockets of drizzle – and possibly a localized shower – are expected.

As our disturbance moves offshore, scattered showers will likely mix with a few patches of steady rain on Sunday night and Monday morning. Rain chances are expected to decrease in the second half of Monday, while our forecast models are still split. Rainfall amounts are expected to be around 1/2 inch or less in most areas by Monday afternoon.

The remainder of the week is expected to be dry and clear, with another area of high pressure extending throughout the region. Beginning Wednesday, daytime highs will increase into the upper 60s and 70s, closer to normal for early November.

TONIGHT: Increasing Clouds. Low 47.

SUNDAY: Mainly Cloudy. Spotty Showers Possible. High 68, Low 50.

MONDAY: Sun & Clouds. Spotty AM Showers. High 65, Low 49.

TUESDAY: Sunny Sky. High 68, Low 46.

WEDNESDAY: Sunny Sky. High 73, Low 50.
