Firefighters in Charleston responded quickly to contain a fire at a downtown hotel Friday afternoon.
Fire Reported at Downtown Hotel
According to the Charleston Fire Department, crews were dispatched around 2:30 p.m. to the Holiday Inn on Spring Street after receiving reports of a fire inside the building.
Fire Contained on Eighth Floor
Firefighters arrived on scene and were able to quickly extinguish the fire, which was located on the eighth floor of the hotel.
Officials say their rapid response helped prevent the fire from spreading further within the building.
No Injuries Reported
Authorities confirmed that no injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
